The holidays are now over. Epiphany marks our return to Ordinary Time beginning the Monday following the Sunday after January 6. In 2018 this falls on January 8.
The festival of the Epiphany - the word stems from the Greek verb epiphainen, “to shine upon”- or the manifestation of Christ as represented by the Magi commemorates this stellar event.
It signifies the end of my tropical holiday and imminent return to the freezing temperatures of the East Coast.
