people power

In the Philippines we are now celebrating the 31st Anniversary of the People Power Revolution that ousted former dictator, Ferdinand Marcos.

With the current president an avid fan of the Marcos family - who facilitated the burial of this malevolent dictator in our local heroes' cemetery, desecrating sacred ground - sore wounds have opened up and festered once again.

We have to ask, when will justice be served and can some form of closure be honorably and decently achieved after all these years?

Happy Birthday, President Washington!

This day on February we prefer to celebrate George Washington's birthday since contemplating its other incarnation is just too dismal.

Here at Change Warrior, we refuse to celebrate the day as President's Day since our current president [the 45th] is [1] not presidentiable at all in our opinion, and [2] is a pill who has squashed any sort of celebration not dedicated to his most non-magnificent self.

where is the love?

Taking a break from all the resistance, revolution, and rallying to focus on some LOVE as we lead up to Valentine's Day celebrations.

What a challenge these times present - leaving us to question, "where is the love?"

At a time when the lack of respect for existence is met with expected resistance on so many facets and levels, remaining openhearted and connected is such a sruggle.
