walk in beauty

My great find of 2018 was a little gem of a book - "The Alchemy of Abundance" by Rick Jarow.

I first met the author in one of our sessions at the New York Open Center's Integrative Sound and Music Institute - at a nine month certificate program for sound healing.

Rick Jarow, is a practicing alternative career counselor, a professor of religion at Vassar College, and the author of Creating the Work You Love, In Search of the Sacred, Alchemy of Abundance, and more.

His popular seminars, based on years of research and practice with lineage holders in both Eastern and Western traditions, focus on interweaving inner experience with effective action in the world.

As a pioneer of the anti-career movement he carefully studies the emerging new world of work and takes us, step by step, through several portals to gain our independence through the work we do.

The Alchemy of Abundance is more advanced work in personal manifestation. It is a level up next step for those who have taken Creating the Work You Love. A deeper immersion for committed students of psycho-spiritual studies.

I had purchased the book which comes with a CD that has fourteen tracks of guided visualizations. Then in October he taught a workshop called "To Walk in Beauty" based on this same material. I soon found myself taking that course as well.

Rick Jarow calls the Alchemy of Abundance, the fusion of internal forces and external experience that transmutes the base metal of a stagnant life into the gold of full and open participation in each unfolding moment.

In Alchemy of Abundance, Jarow reveals the miracle that happens when we align inner energies - passion, creativity, attention, and will - with the power of the universe itself to make manifest our unique purpose in life.

The workshop and book include in-depth exercises and guided visualizations to strengthen our faith in our self, cultivate patience and generosity, and bring our goals into harmony with the plan the universe has for us.

One of the best tools he provides is the "Mandala of Manifestation" - creating our own twelve chambers in a sacred temple of beauty that will clarify and focus what you want to come into being.

The fourteen guided visualizations on the CD teach us to attend to body, vocation, relationships,
money, and so much more.

I now keep a daily journal to record my visions and insights from the work that continues to unfold for me.

As I reread this valuable text and focus on myself I am eager and encouraged at what the new year holds for me.

Here's to a better ad brighter 2019!
