Our beloved one and only Mahala turns 47 today - that's a Master Number, 11. Eleven is the bringer of spiritual awareness and a devout supporter of humankind. It is truly a messenger of the universe.

The first of September marks a new orbit for my one and only sweet baby girl, Mahala. Love of my life. Incandescent beacon of light. Beloved creator of all her art. 

Her entrance in my life has anchored us to our lifetime vagabond homes, wherever in the world life brings us. Her presence is a constant source of delight and pride, awe and wonder, grace and glory.

As I was journaling this morning I listened to a new interview of Arundhati Roy - international literary star and vocal political activist - a woman of substance whose work Mahala and I admire deeply and read voraciously.

It has been a while since I have been back to celebrate my birthday in the land of my birth. Our island knows best how to throw a fun and yum party! 

Our sister is the best hostess with her household staff skillfully trained to set a creative tablescape with thematic setting, beautiful floral arrangements, and a bountiful spread. Nom nom nom!

Happy Glorious Birthday

This week’s Pisces/Virgo Full Moon began with the Leo New Moon on August 18, the 100th anniversary of the passing of the nineteenth amendment that gave women the right to vote. As those women did to pave the way for us - don't get mad, get creative!

Back in the Philippines it will be my birthday in a few hours. I look forward to friends and family back there calling to extend their blessed joy filled greetings.

It's already started with virtual cake, candles, and gifts from my core group of siStars. What a joy to be surrounded by such an eager beaver squad of cheerleaders. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Last year I missed posting about my birthday. In my frustration over petty stuff and not spending it together with beloved Mahala I may have been sore and pouty. Who knows? It was another lifetime ago.

September 1 is Mahala's birthday and my labor day. Twin celebrations that have brought us a world of joy that expands and deepens with each unfolding year.
