if not now - when?

Native tribes practice a tradition known as leveling the waters. When young braves took part in a hunt or raiding party, upon their return they did not enter their village immediately. Instead they sat apart and away from them - watching in silence from a distance.

The benefit of this was two-fold. First, it allowed them the time to bring down their adrenaline or blood rush. Plus the wait and watch created the space to connect with their community and villagers. Once that bond was made solid and steady once more, then they could enter and be a part once more.

In today's isolated world of self quarantine this is a worthwhile practice in our virtual connections as well. However you are feeling or whatever mood we are immersed in in private. It would be wise to not impose upon others or bombard them with our demands.

Yes, most definitely share what is in your heart but choose your words wisely and be attendant to others as you open up to them. Now more so than ever, we are more sensitive and vulnerable in unknown situations and new world we all find ourselves in.

Rather than behaving like you "normally" would why not take this opportunity to test out a new approach. One that is more loving and kind. Even if this stretches you or gives you some discomfort or inconvenience - the gain may be well worth it.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Time to drop harshness and force and soften up our ready hearts with a more loving nature. We are all in this together - connected and One.
