Passover is said to be protective magic that predates the Exodus - a rite of protection to ensure the safety of a family and home.
Once conducted wholly within a clan, it has since been integrated with other spring festivals and harvest ceremonies of feasting and celebration.
When the rites are performed the preparations produce sacred alchemy - a delicate balance of mythology with technology and philosophy.
Similarly Ganachakra (a Dakini feast) is a sacramental meal and festive celebration invoking an magical transmutation from base matter to heightened vibration.
In this process, the negative energy of baser emotions or klesha (poison) is transformed into the luminous energy of enlightened awareness or gnosis (jnana).
Ingestion of such a holy feast is highly intoxicating - causing the physical digestion to lead to a spiritual unfolding and God realization.
If it is so that we are what we eat, then true magic is indeed manifested.
