It is the dawning of a new age. Now that 21 Dec 2012 is here, what now?
Personally, yesterday felt a lot more abrasive than today. Don't ask me why as I cannot even begin to say.
I am encouraged and look forward to whatever is in store.
I am inspired to be stepping into new and unknown space.
What circumstance or synchronicity will unfold for me and my relations?
Nothing is certain. It is with awe and gratitude that I look back on circumstances.
All I had to do was show up - present and attendant.
With my heart
open and my spirit free.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to us all!
The seeker is constantly challenged. Enlightenment and evolution are what our souls long for. Our hearts cry out for clarity and discernment in search of our spiritual path and self realization. There are no solid or easy answers. It is our shared experience and compassion that sustain and support us through life.

full moon rising
Coming out of Mercury Retrograde with the full moon on the rise in a few minutes - these past few days have been rough on us all.
This is but the dress rehearsal for things to come - in preparation of 21 December 2012. So be alert and attentive.
This is not the time to slack off. Persist and persevere to reap your rewards.
For relief, meditate and be kind to yourself and others throughout this period.
Remember, this too shall pass.

"You could be so much more. But to BE so much more, you have to be wonderfully raw and real. . . .To be who you truly are, will leave everything in you vulnerable and raw. In that alone can you Be Real.” ~ Bernie Prior, evolutionary visionary
In conversation with friends and loved ones, it seems this is what we are each currently challenged with each moment. Like it or not, it is our destiny.
Peeling off the layers can be daunting though. Especially for most of us who have expended much time, effort and resource to civilize and polish ourselves.
To apply ourselves now with clarity. persistence and discipline to this endeavor.

Why Obama Now?

all of my ancestors
as Spain riots, China continues to be a big bully, the fiasco of Philippine politics continues and election hysteria escalates in the US of A
I reflect on all the bloodlines and heritage that have contributed to my present situation and perspective
what does any of it have to do with me? I am more affected with the deaths of immediate friends or their relatives lost
having to deal with my health and well being daily - where does any of this fit in the proverbial grand scheme of things?
why should I concern myself with countries and their issues - when I'm working so hard to rid myself of mine personally?
yet they all pull and tug on my heart strings - far away or up close, personal or not

motion, movement, momentum
as I move into yet another place and unpack to create a new home from scratch I am made present to internal and external forces at play
I like simplifying, getting back to basics and being frugal about it - it's a creative process grounded in practical and applicable reality - what works and what does not
it's exhilirating to find a new place, case out the new neighborhood, work out the logistics of the move, decide what should go and what to keep
the change is exciting and expanding

bias vs. balance
With the closing ceremonies up tomorrow, once again the Olympics are on my mind.
This time it is its coverage and presentation that struck me. I happened to be in Canada when the games opened and could not help but notice how they went about it compared to over here in the USA.
Even there I could not help but notice the obvious and blatant overkill sell by the US in their American fervor - making it all about I, me, mine - which swung between extremes of childlike and childish devotion.
Others like the UK and Canada exhibited their brand of fervor with just as much zeal and delight - minus the vehemence and Holywood-izing - while still celebrating their wins and that of others.
Where there is no shame in acknowledging or even glorifying these achivements, being able to fully reflect other ongoing global events should remain the priority and be maintained as the perspective.
After all the rest of the world spins on - though the news and focus remained on the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
Global warming, moonsoon floods, mass destruction, heinious crimes, great discoveries and achievements, love and honor, . . . .these went on and too few acknowledged the spectacle even if too many were affected.

Olympics on my mind
With the Olympic Flame lit and the game opening officially this Friday (July 27), thoughts turn toward excellence and its pursuit.
This being the year 2012, brings to the fore the Dodekatheon - the Twelve Gods of Olympus made famous in Homeric legends.
The twelve deities are Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Dionysus, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Hermes.
Their constant power plays and eventual demise may be the root to the saying mens sana in corpore sano, a sound mind in a sound body - or better yet, anima sana in corpore sano, a healthy soul in a healthy body - to express the concept of a healthy balanced life.
Divine or not, we all are better off healthy and wise.

a month away from it all
Saskatoon is a welcome reprieve - weather wise & for the company of my dear childhood friend & her darling family
we've had great fun - playing with the babies at her day care & hanging out after
weekends now that the weather is nice are spent outdoors - by the river, on drives, at picnics & outdoor cafes - lots of farmers markets & Shakespear at the Park too
so far everything is cleaner, more spacious & gentler over here - even the thunder storm we had - ha ha

communication, connection, collaboration
in making my point what options and opportunities I choose to present my point can either contribute to, aggravate or deter from my message
my motivations, what concerns me, where my attachments lie influence matters of self seeking - in direction, examination, inquiry and realization
how do I initiate communication? speak with others? express my point of view?
how do I build relations and make connections?
how do I lay the groundwork for collaboration and partnership?

priorities, perspectives, patterns
Under the influence of present cosmic changes and planetary transits, our attention turns to larger and longer term issues. Many more have shifted their focus considering humanity's overall plans and futures over our personal hopes and wishes today.
No longer satisfied with merely meeting daily mundane demands, we seek to understand instead how we and these demands fit into the overall pattern in the Big Picture. Being clear about what I want in life is now of growing importance.
Openness, acceptance and generosity with oneself and others can pave the way and ease our burden through shared connection and collaboration.

family - bonds, beliefs, baggage
new World Trade needle |
While no one can discount the value of family - emotional models, belief patterns, relationship filters - can greatly influence the bonds we eventually form. As adults how clear, free and independent are we of our past and our patterns? Are we present to our needs, wants, and drives? More importantly, do we know what dictates and influences these needs, wants and drives? Are they really our own or are they merely a product of our upbringing and environment? Do we even question and explore these territories?

feasts & celebration
Passover and Easter are major occasions evoking sacred rites, rituals and communal practices among many. When done properly, their preparation is Sacred Alchemy.
Ganacakra (a Dakini feast) is a sacramental meal and festive celebration invoking an alchemical transmutation from base to higher vibration.
In this process, the negative energy of baser emotion or klesha (poison) is transformed into the luminous energy of enlightened awareness or gnosis (jnana).
Its ingestion is highly intoxicating - wherein physical digestion leads to spiritual unfoldment and G0D realization.

resist & persist
Our body, mind and heart are the means through which to express who we really are.
Who is the driver? Now and in every moment. No past. No future. Just now.
What are the control factors? Who is in control of what?
In surrender lies freedom. But surrender requires discipline for the ego to let go.
Discipline is made effective and efficient through one's clarity.
Knowing oneself. Truly.

lost & found
"Self is the only prison that can ever bind the soul."
~Henry Van Dyke, The Prison and the Angel
Is all well in our world? No matter what our circumstances are we well?
Or do we swing schizophrenically on our own self inflicted hangman's noose battling incessantly with our selves?
Drawn and quartered between stuck and lost? between our compulsive obsessions or the never ending process of finding ourselves?
Or do we dance to and celebrate our innate nature? Acknowledging balance is indeed the key? Exploring the parts of us that please us? Appreciating what our shadow selves teach us?
In our path toward enlightenment our journey is paved each step of the way with the choice we make, the attitude we sustain, the decision concluded.
Who determines which is wise or appropriate? timely or truly?
Are we encouraged and empowered by the endeavor? Are we filled with light, love, life?
Is the body harnessed? the mind disciplined? the heart engaged? the spirit ignited? the soul kindled?
Where then do we let life take us?

demons & dragons
2012 is truly testing my mettle. . . .
I am an emotional creature - emotionally driven and persuaded.
I have grown more sensitive to their presence while removing myself from their effect - at varying levels of success.
2012 is the time to face my dragons - nowhere to run or hide.
Not so much succeeding in overcoming them as learning to embrace who I am even more.
