On December 24th the twelve holy nights begin - symbols for the twelve forces of the soul that live in us. This is vital and valid forever - beyond the twelve holy nights and this holiday season.
How does Spirit manifest at the midnight hour of the soul’s year? At noon on January 1 the Sun is closest to the Earth. Five and half days before and five and a half days later mark the holy nights.

On these darkest nights of the year we are closest to the Sun’s Spirit. This means that the Spiritual Sun shining from inside the Earth illuminates everything from the inside - turning it translucent.
After the twelve days pass the Sun illuminates the Earth from above - externally.
This cosmic reality can only be experienced in the soul that is willing to be vulnerable and transparent as an innocent newborn. A newborn does not conform, a newborn wonders.
The Holy Nights are not a social time of social meaning - that comes at Pentecost. The Holy Nights are the time of deepest earthly solitude for the soul.
the 12 holy nights are an ancient tradition |
Our experience is not found in relating to the other but in relating to the Self. They are the time when the individual spirit recollects the midnight sun and sees into its own birth of I - the Christ Consciousness.
Entering the twelve holy nights wide awake and very conscious is important. On the first night, December 24th, we only stay awake until one or two in the morning. On the following nights, try to go to bed regularly at the same time.
It is vital to set in a regular rhythm to live by at this time. If otherwise active, then try to do so intentionally, within. Those who cannot be silent in the external life should seek to be inwardly aware of the sanctity of the time.
It is important to perform daily duties without losing sight of this realization. Of the sacredness of the time - allowing nothing unhealthy, no ugly movement to enter the soul, remaining always attentive, and disciplined in this regard.
create your own building blocks |
During Christmas and the twelve holy nights that follow sow the seeds for the coming year. What we do in these twelve days plants the seed in the coming months. Which will germinate within us - to our benefit or not, according to our actions in this period.
We must try to pass the twelve holy days appropriately because each year we are working towards our rebirth. What seeds we plant now will feed into the new year. Here's a ritual you can try - better yet, create one of your own.
Our intention needs to be clear and focused to manifest what serves rather what does not.
May a well prepped 2025 lie ahead for each of us.
